The artistic approach:
Guided by instinct, Blandine’s creative approach is not limited by standard cognitive constraints. Though a sense of reality is often present, it is frequently transformed, simplified in order to portray a distilled purity.
The nude is treated with a degree of modesty and disregard for the limits of realism. Torsos are slightly distorted, colourfully highlighted with vibrant and saturated tones.
The canvasses of buttocks have been created in a small format, and are designed to be exhibited in a group. The choice of the number and colour of the canvases is the duty of the buyer, who consequently plays a personal role in the creation of the work.
Having initially focused her artistic attention on the human body, Blandine’s more recent canvases portray a liberal interpretation of both abstract and photographic landscapes. Her taste for travel has also influenced her creative approach – southern Italy, Mauritius, Cuba…
Blandine’s artistic interest also extends to food. In choosing an everyday culinary item, she works to extract a sense of grace from the subject, abandoning its somewhat banal reality.
Actually, Blandine is working on an abstract vision of landscape.. Fiew details, but a sens of quietness.
